Local flap to rebuild the nipple

Nipple areola complex may need reconstruction due to oncologic reasons, complications of mammoplasties, traumatisms, etc.

It is best rebuilt by small local flaps raised from the underlying tissue at the theoretical ideal location of the nipple.

The areola may be either reconstructed with a skin graft of with different color or also be micropigmented with a tattoo.
